Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be performing my injection procedure?

Your procedure will be performed by a licensed and highly trained medical professional. This could be a Nurse Practitioner (NP), a Physician Assistant (PA), or a Registered Nurse (RN) working under the direct supervision of the doctor. Our injectors are certified experts in facial anatomy and injection techniques. You can feel confident that you are in skilled hands, and we encourage you to ask about your injector's credentials during your consultation.

Why does the cost vary so much? Why is it priced by the unit?

We price by the unit because it's the fairest and most transparent method for you. Every person's facial muscles are unique in strength and size. Pricing by the unit means you only pay for the exact amount of product used to achieve your desired result. Some areas, like the faint lines between your eyebrows (glabella), require more units than finer lines, like crow's feet. A customized treatment plan ensures we use the optimal number of units for your specific needs, which is both cost-effective and delivers the best natural-looking outcome.

Why does each area need a different number of units? Can't you use the same amount everywhere?

It all comes down to muscle mass, muscle strength, and desired effect. Think of it like this: the muscles between your eyebrows (the ones that cause the "11" lines) are large and very strong—they require more product to relax them effectively. The muscles that cause forehead lines are broader but often thinner, requiring a different pattern and number of units. Smaller, finer muscles around the eyes (crow's feet) require fewer units. Using a standardized amount everywhere would lead to poor results—either under-treatment (where some wrinkles remain) or over-treatment (which can lead to a frozen look or drooping). Our approach is tailored and precise.

How long will it take to work, and how long will it last?

You will typically begin to see initial effects within 2 to 3 days, with the full effect taking hold after 10 to 14 days. We often schedule a quick follow-up at the two-week mark to ensure you are perfectly happy with the result. The results are not permanent. On average, neurotoxins last 3 to 4 months. Factors like your metabolism, muscle strength, and activity level can influence duration. Many clients find that with repeated treatments, the muscles become trained to relax, and results can last longer over time.

What are the main side effects? Will I look "frozen" or unnatural?

When administered by an experienced medical professional, the risk of looking 'frozen' is extremely low. Our goal is to preserve your natural expressions while softening the lines that bother you. The most common temporary side effects are minor and include slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, which usually resolves within a few hours to a couple of days. A small percentage of people may experience a mild headache. More significant side effects, like eyelid drooping, are very rare and are almost always associated with incorrect injection placement or dosage, which is why you choose a qualified medical injector.
